How would people live if they fully understood and acknowledged that they were going to die one day? I mean,I think I have a pretty good understanding of it,and yet I'm still here, just sitting in a park, pondering. I'm not running around the city knocking on book publishers doors, and frantically emailing possible writing mentors. If from the moment every single person was born, the idea of death and living to the fullest was drilled into their heads, would things change that much? Is subconsciously everyone living life to the fullest in their own way,or is no one? I see businessmen, and nannies, and college students-do any of them realize it(or more importantly, care) or do all of them? Maybe people deserve more credit. Although every one isn't trying to change the world, I would assume everyone is searching for what makes them feel fulfilled. It's a natural thing to want to feel good. And maybe the power of that is enough. Even though we do get caught up in things that are petty, and are probably a waste of our time, doesn't mean that they ruin our overall outlook on life. Each person who simply does what makes them feel good as much as possible,is contributing to something bigger than the universe. Were all looking for answers, because we just want to feel content. Knowing that the answers could be out there, somewhere,is what keeps us breathing. In the simple scheme of things,I like this. Sitting in a park, with my thoughts, uncaring of what the people around me think(Unless there's a cute boy) while also appreciating that they're around me,and that I can observe their lives. Sometimes, just watching life occur around me can be enough. When I just don't care whether I should be doing something else or not,no matter if the possibility of me dying in 4 or 40 years is there. It's one of the most confusing concepts, how a person can just sit idly when not existing tomorrow is so possible;but it also makes the most sense to want to step back and look at life while you're still here.
