Sometimes, you have to tell yourself something many, many times before you start to actually believe it. It can feel repetitive and irritating, and it can make it feel incredibly hard for you to progress and evolve as a human. But don't give up in doing that. Changing internally isn't easy. It's said often that people "Don't change", but they can; it just takes awhile. Internal change that occurs quickly isn't something you should aspire to achieve, because either it doesn't have depth or it won't last. A lot of the changing you do isn't noticeable to others, because a lot of it you do for yourself-which is the way it should be. Unless you're impacting others negatively, you don't need to change for them. You're the one that matters. You live in your body 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can be doing so until tomorrow, or until you're 100; but you won't be able to switch bodies with someone else anytime soon. You may have things you want to change about yourself, but as long as you know that, you're working towards it. Don't try to rush through invaluable growth.
The way you think can change everything. Your perception of your life rules your life. If you haven't realized it yet, external things don't matter so much when it comes to your well-being. People with millions of dollars and more friends than they can name experience depression, and homeless people begging for change everyday can be happy, or at least content. The changes that go unnoticed by others can be the most valuable occurrences in your life.
