The small moments.

It's interesting, the things that keep us looking forward to living. Things like, an album coming out that strikes a chord with you in the best way. Things like, meeting a person who makes you realize you aren't the only one of your kind on this earth. Things like, reaching a height of emotion you never thought you were capable of. Some of these things happen more easily than others, some of these things may have yet to occur in our lives, like falling and love, and living out our dream careers. But they're all motivation. I don't think we realize how important the small motivations are. Those little, incredible moments, are what keep you waking up in the morning and going to whatever school/internship/job/life you have to attend to. We may have our bad moments, and our absolute worst moments, but remember that those things are still there. Your passions, your simple pleasures, your dreams; these things are in your control, and they never run away from you. And when you have that moment of genuine compassion with someone, or find that dress in H&M that makes you squeal with glee, or wake up in a positive mood and you have no idea why, you remember why you keep doing this: life. It may feel hard to believe, but sometimes 100 bad moments can be over-powered by just one good one. That's how powerful "good" is. Sometimes a person may mention death and whether you're 16, 28 or 42, you'll think "What the hell am I doing?"You'll wonder "Am I wasting my time here? What more could I be doing?" But don't agonize so much over it, because you are living for something. You've kept going for this long. Although it may seem frustratingly hard for you to feel as good as "everyone else" does, there are things out there that can make you feel from content to euphoric. You're still capable of feeling optimistic, and of feeling a spark; somehow. It will happen.
